What is this blog about?

Publié le par Gabriella Vernetto

On the occasion of Netdays Europe (22nd-27th November 2004), the Department of Education of Aosta Valley promotes the "Jeux de langues, langues en jeu" project, an activity of group writing with the aim of discovering language and culture diversity in Europe.

The activity is divided into three sections:

Petit dico des expressions imagées – the understanding of idioms is not usually learnt at school, but it is nevertheless important, because idioms show language creativity. Since even advanced students have problems with them, this section collects idioms and their equivalents in other languages.

Fais- moi signe! – the use of gestures and mime varies according to one’s culture. To learn these gestures helps avoiding misunderstandings.

This section shows photos or drawings of gestures and explains their meaning.

Langues en folie – language games let you know the various subtle differences of a language in a pleasant way. All games are accepted, in any language.

Who can participate?

The project is open to all schools in all countries. Both groups (classes, groups of pupils) and single participants are accepted.

The game will start in the week from 22nd to 27th November, on the occasion of Netdays 2004, and will finish at the end of the school year, in June 2005.

If you want to join the project send an e-mail to the person in charge of it: Gabriella Vernetto – g.vernetto@regione.vda.it

All the contributions will be published on the blog of the game http://netdays04.over-blog.com/index_blog.phb starting from November 22nd and during the whole year.

At the end of the activity they will be collected in a cd-rom, which will be given to the participants.
